Any port (read: weapon) in a storm, I guess.

The one saving grace in this article is that the headline writer chose not to write "Colorado Man Beats Off Mountain Lion With Survey Stake." That would be really dangerous.

I still don't understand how the mountain lion got the survey stake or why it would want one.

I reread the article. I'm pretty sure the dog had the surveying stake, not the mountain lion.
