The County of El Dorado is seeking a new Deputy Surveyor, responsible for the management of day to day operations and activities of the Surveyor's Office. This includes policy interpretation, program planning, fiscal management and administration and direction of all operations in the absence of the elected Surveyor. The incumbent plans, directs and supervises the office and field work of technical staff in the review and approval of parcel and subdivision maps, the preparation of maps and the maintenance of address systems within the County.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a balance of strong leadership qualities and detailed technical survey experience to lead a cohesive and effective team. A history of management skills that foster teamwork and a positive work environment that demonstrates the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with direct reports, co-workers, managers, and customers is essential. The ideal candidate is well organized with proven experience managing and prioritizing multiple assignments of varying complexity. Significant experience with land records research, land development mapping, and governmental processing is required.
