The County of Riverside's Transportation Survey Department has an opportunity for a Senior Survey Engineering Technician who will be assigned to the Geodetic Division located in Riverside. The incumbent in this position will prepare drawings from deeds and field measurements, establish property boundaries, do research on parcels, preliminary title reports and plot easements. Additionally the incumbent will process field topos and create 3-D surface models.
The Department seeks candidates with survey work experience doing drafting, subdivision designs and mapping for land development. The most competitive candidates will have experience with Public Lands surveys and have knowledge of the Professional Land Surveyors' Act (PLS Act) and Subdivision Map Act (SMA) and possess a valid Land Surveyor-in-Training certification issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
The Riverside County Transportation Department is responsible for the design, operation and maintenance of roads, bridges and transportation facilities within the unincorporated areas of the County - an area of about 7,300 square miles. Our primary focus is to protect the health and safety of our growing resident population and improve the quality of life through a variety of critical activities, including but not limited to, engineering design, construction and maintenance of County roads; review of plans and construction of transportation facilities by private land development; administer the use of County right of way through encroachment permits; and land surveying and map processing.
$27.71 - $45.67 Hourly
$57,627.65 - $95,003.58 Annually
