The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and fill two (2) vacancies for the classification of Survey Technician II in the Department of Public Works. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, leads and performs skilled work of routine difficulty operating survey instruments and equipment for a work crew conducting land surveys; and performs related duties as assigned.

External candidates, part-time, and temporary City of Henderson employees will start at the first step of the salary range.
•Graduation from high school, or the equivalent.
•Four (4) years of survey experience, which included one (1) year of experience operating land survey instruments for a survey crew.
•The completion of two (2) years of college level coursework in survey engineering may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the survey experience requirement listed above.
•Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483.
•Desirable: Registration as a Land Surveying Intern (LSI).
